Bee Cave Woods is located near MoPac Boulevard south of the river. It is in the nationally ranked Eanes School District. It is a quiet neighborhood with tree lined streets with mostly traditional built homes. Some of these homes have views of downtown Austin. Because Zilker Park is just across MoPac, there is no need to have parks in the neighborhood. Zilker Park has Barton Springs pool for swimming, picnic areas, soccer fields, a large playscape, a hillside theater, and a little train. Blues on the Green is one of Austin’s favorite summertime activities and it is held on Wednesdays on the soccer fields. It’s a fun time to pack a picnic, bring a blanket and listen to great music under the stars. Shakespeare in the Park is held at the hillside theater in the summer. There is also the Botanical Gardens and Austin Nature and Science Center. Both are great places to take visitors and children.

Because this neighborhood is so close to MoPac, it is a very short commute to downtown Austin. Even in rush hour traffic, it’s only about ten minutes away. Austin Bergstrom Airport is also an easy drive from here. Bee Cave Road has several specialty shops and places to eat. Barton Creek Mall is almost in the neighborhood. It has Dillards, Nordstrom’s and Macy’s as well as other smaller retail chain stores.
