Westminster Glen homes are all built on an acre or more and most have beautiful views of Lake Austin or the surrounding hills. It is near Emma Long Metropolitan Park and connects with River Place subdivision. The homes range in price from the 700’s to over a million. It’s unusual to have such large lots so close to downtown Austin. It is part of the Leander Independent School District.
Where is Westminster Glen?
A short drive on 2222 past loop 360 to City Park Road will take you to Westminster Glen. The drive on City Park Road itself is pleasant if you just want to do some sightseeing. Emma Long Park is at the end of the road. You can camp out or just go for the day and swim in the cold waters of Lake Austin. Also nearby is a little water front restaurant called Ski Shores. It’s fun to sit on their deck and watch the boats speed by. At night they oftentimes have live music.
Westminster Glen Shopping
Shopping is quite easy to access from Westminster Glen. It’s not far from the Arboretum area and shops. Austin’s newest shopping area is called The Domain and is just east of MoPac and 360 on Braker Lane. It has many of the major upscale stores like Neiman Marcus, Burberry, Gucci, etc. There are some really great restaurants in the Domain as well.
