Beautiful city views, top rated schools, mature trees and large, architecturally interesting homes…there is not a lot to dislike about Stratford Hills.  Most homes range in size from 4,500 – 6,000 sq ft though you will find some with upwards of 8,000 sq ft.  Four to five bedrooms and four to five and a half baths seems to be the neighborhood norm.  Stratford Hills also has one very unique 5 acre estate with guest house right on Lake Austin with beautiful lake and city views.

Where is Stratford Hills?

Stratford Hills is located in West Austin on the banks of Lake Austin.  The easiest way to access the neighborhood is from Lake Austin Blvd and Redbud Trail.  Commuting to Downtown could only be easier if you lived in a condo above your office as you won’t even need to get on a freeway.  Local amenities like grocery shopping, dining and recreation is right across Lake Austin off Lake Austin Blvd.

Dining Near Stratford Hills

By crossing Lake Austin you’ll come to Oyster’s Landing Marina where you’ll find several restaurant choices.  Mozart’s Coffee is a popular coffee shop with beautiful lake views from their outdoor patio or covered deck below the restaurant.  They’re known for their premium coffee roasts and desserts – they were voted one of America’s Top 10 Dessert Places by Bon Appetit Magazine.  Chuy’s Hula Hut is a Hawaiian/Tex-Mex restaurant.  You’d think Hawaiian and Tex-Mex would not be a good combination, but they make it work well.  The restaurant also has beautiful lake views and is a fun place to spend an evening with friends.  Parking can be a little tight in Oyster’s Landing Marina, but there is a large parking lot across the street which is usually open.
