Jester Estates is a well known northwest Austin neighborhood located just off FM 2222 just north of 360. Many know this area because of its spectacular views and hill top homes. The area is also very convenient to many northwest Austin treasures such as the Arboretum and Davenport Village Shopping Center. The residents in this area are very active and put forth quite a bit of effort to keep the neighborhood active in community activities. The main entrance, Jester Boulevard, is a steep climb up. Homes in Jester Estates date back to the 1980’s and 90’s. Many residents have recently remodeled various aspects of their home to bring it a bit more up to date. Many focus their remodeling efforts on the kitchen and baths. Views vary in this area. Some of the homes in this area have spectacular views varying from greenbelt and hill country to downtown and Lake Austin. It all depends on where in Jester the home is as to what kind of view there is. The streets in Jester are very wide and at any given point you’ll see residents strolling, jogging or cycling through the neighborhood. Several streets are cul-de-sacs, which really cut down on through traffic.
Jester Estates Amenities
Jester Estates has a great amenity center which includes a sparkling lap pool and playground. What I love about their pool is the fact that there is an area perfect for those looking to enjoy a little bit of shade by the pool. The Jester community is very active. Each month a neighborhood newsletter is produced, The Warbler. The Warbler speaks on community events and news and features Jester residents’ businesses. Many community parades and events are held at various times in the year. From Easter egg hunts to a fourth of July parade, the Jester community offers so much to their residents.
