West Austin Real Estate
West Austin is home to some of Austin's oldest and stateliest neighborhoods, including Tarrytown, Pemberton Heights, Old Enfield, Bryker Woods and Northwest Hills. Many historical homes are found in West Austin and are included in the National Register of Historic Places. Living in West Austin is like being transported back in time. West Austin has also offered some newer subdivisions like River Place and Steiner Ranch, two master- planned communities. Some of the smaller options would be Jester Estates or Lakewood.

Do you find that you prefer older neighborhoods over the new? I often find myself more drawn to the older, more established neighborhoods. One of my favorites is Castlewood Forest. I love driving through the streets and admiring the well kept homes and the magnificent trees that seem to fill the sky. These all-electric homes were built in the '70's and are situated on lots large enough to feel some space between you & your neighbor. In addition to this neighborhood being pretty, it sits just... Most of them are 3 sides masonry and sit on lots with beautiful oak trees. Reason number 2 would be the excellent schools in the area. Schools are a draw to certain subdivisions and that is certainly the case here. Location would be the third reason that I consider Legend Oaks as a favorite. The ... Read More »
