Barton View is also bordered by a preserved area of over 80 acres known as the Brodie Tract. As part of the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone, the Brodie Tract is an environmentally sensitive area that feeds water into Austin’s water system. Barton View is accessible from the Highway 290 access road at Stearn’s Lane, just west of the Capital of Texas Highway (360) and east of the Mo-Pac Expressway. Barton View is located just across from the West Gate shopping area. It also offers easy access to shops and eateries on Brodie Lane, as well as South Lamar. The Barton Creek Greenbelt borders the back of the neighborhood.
