Doty River Estates is located just a mile or two east of Smithville on the south side of Highway 71, approx. 9 miles west of Bastrop. Nestled down on the Colorado River, Doty River Estates was originally the Doty family ranch. Now there are homesites and custom homes on small acreage and some of the properties actually have Colorado River frontage. For those that don’t have direct access to the river there is an area dedicated to private river access for all land and home owners in the subdivision. Light restrictions apply including no manufactured housing and horses are allowed on some of the lots.
