I’m one of those people who wasn’t born and raised in Austin or even Texas, for that matter, but I got here just as soon as I could. I lived in other states and a couple other cities in Texas before relocating to Austin and actually surprised myself that once I landed here, I’ve never left. Some folks here tell me I don’t sound Texan, but that’s nothing compared to what I hear from the folks back in the mid-west who claim I talk funny. Never the less, I chose Austin years ago and I choose it again today as my home.
My background before beginning my real estate career was in accounting and business management. I worked many years in those areas and attended ACC and St. Edward’s University gaining the education I needed to improve my skills in those fields. After a 15+ year stint in the corporate world, I decided to take a hiatus and enjoy life with my retired husband for a couple years. We traveled around the country, enjoying people, places and RV-ing. Following that refreshing break, I began my work in real estate in 2001 working as an assistant to two separate Brokers. I discovered I had a great interest in real estate and particularly in helping individuals meet their goals of home ownership, the sale of their home or business as well as finding lease properties. I had bought and sold real estate several times and more recently invested in rental properties so I became well familiarized with real estate transactions and how the process should and should not transpire! I knew this was an area in which I could help others. In early 2007 I finished my real estate instruction and became a licensed REALTOR®.
Fortunately, I love what I do and do it whole-heartedly. I am continually adding to my education in the real estate field by attending classes, seminars and conferences. I enjoy meeting new people as well as working with old friends and acquaintances. I am organized, honest, efficient and extremely service oriented. When I’m not busy with my real estate business, my husband and I still enjoy traveling, particularly in our RV, or cruising in one of our antique cars. We enjoy our families and now especially our grand-kids, our church home and friends. I would gratefully welcome the opportunity to assist you with any real estate needs.
