Avalon is a fairly new community but is quickly becoming a most popular Pflugerville neighborhood. There is an abundance of amenities in the area with hiking, swimming, parklands and over 150 acres of green space. Avalon is minutes from the exceptional Pflugerville schools with the on-site Riojas Elementary scheduled to open in the Fall of ’09. Avalon is a master-planned new home community on the northeastern side of Pflugerville, TX. Begun in 2007, Avalon features homes built by three widely respected Austin area home builders—Scott Felder Homes, Grand Haven Homes and Standard Pacific Homes. The homes in Avalon offer buyers a lot of choices in size, features and cost, and are built on lots that are 55′ and 65′ wide. Avalon is easy to get to! You can take the SH130 tollway either north or south to the Kelly Lane exit. Or drive east from Round Rock on SH45, and take the Kelly Lane exit. Avalon is located roughly a mile east of SH130 on the north side of Kelly Lane. You will pass through two other nice communities (Falcon Pointe and Blackhawk) on your way to Avalon. Look for the sign at the entrance to Avalon on your left.
Avalon Features and Amenities
The Avalon development offers a number of amenities that make it a great place to live and raise a family. These include the Avalon Swim and Community Center that opened in the Summer of 2010, a community park, hike and bike trails, and over 150 acres of greenbelt area. Golf anyone? Try the Blackhawk Golf Club that is adjacent to Avalon or other courses like the Star Ranch Golf Club which is a short drive up SH130 from Kelly Lane. The neighborhood’s proximity to SH45 and SH130 opens up many other Austin area options for entertainment, outdoor enjoyment and family fun. Avalon students learn the 3 Rs at schools of the Pflugerville Independent School District. A new elementary school opened in the Avalon neighborhood in time for the 2010-2011 school year.
