Where is Highland Hills?
Located just west of Balcones Drive, this neighborhood is bordered by Northland Drive (2222), Mesa Drive, and Far West Blvd. When this subdivision began, Mopac (Loop 1) didn’t exist (except for the train tracks) and Balcones Drive was the main north/south artery west of Burnet Road. Highland Hills is now very convenient to downtown as well as The Domain, with quick access by way of Mopac.

Highland Hills Conveniences
Shopping has changed dramatically since its inception. A post office, library, two large grocery stores, two strip malls, and numerous eateries, are all within half a mile. An elementary and middle school are at its northern boundary. Interestingly, these are located in an area that used to be a quarry.
