Where is Balcones Village?

Head north on Hwy 183 and exit Anderson Mill Road. Go west and look for Spicewood Parkway. Turn left onto Spicewood Parkway and follow the winding and tree lined street into Balcones Village. This neighorhood is an easy commute into downtown Austin.

The area was developed in the late 60’s and through the 80’s. A wonderful neighborhood of timeless custom built homes, situated under old stately native oak trees where the Balcones Country Club Golf Course meanders through the area. Many of the homes in the area have had major renovations so that the area continues to grow in value. Balcones Village boasts large lot sizes and wide streets that are great for walking, running and driving golf carts. Students that live in this neigbhorhood attend the highly acclaimed Round Rock ISD.

Balcones Village has one of the oldest country clubs in Austin, established in 1959. Balcones Country Club is nestled around the Upper Bull Creek Preserve near the Balcones Canyonlands.Balcones Country Club first opened as a nine-hole private golf course. In the 1970s the back 9 was developed and an additional 18-hole course, the Spicewood Golf Course, developed shortly thereafter. The club prides itself on its strong commitment to history, tradition and family values. The Balcones CC course is over 6300 yards of golf on some of the most pristine and pampered grounds of any course around. In addition to golf, the country club offers tennis courts, banquet facilities and an active social club with dining room.
