Anderson Mill is located near Highways 620 and 183 in Northwest Austin. Toll roads 183A and 45 converge here, making it extremely convenient to both Round Rock and Downtown Austin. Most of the homes here were built in the 1960s and 1970s and there are also some more recent built homes.

Lake Creek Parkway runs along the creek that is at the heart of Anderson Mill. Anderson Mill is fortunate to have many lovely parks, playgrounds, and pools. Tennis courts and a racquetball court are available for a fee and residents can enjoy the hike and bike trails that run throughout the community. Just recently a Senior Community Center opened.
Anderson Mill Schools
Anderson Mill is located in the City of Austin on its southern end and in Cedar Park on the northwestern end. Interestingly there are two different school districts serving Anderson Mill. Most of Anderson Mill is in the Round Rock ISD, while Cedar Park residents of Anderson Mill West are in the Leander ISD. Round Rock ISD’s Westwood High is located just off of Lake Creek Parkway and is nationally recognized.
Anderson Mill Conveniences
Anderson Mill is located at the hub of the growth of the Austin and Round Rock metropolitan area. Originally there wasn’t much shopping for the residents of Anderson Mill, then along came Lakeline Mall, bringing big name department stores as well as countless smaller ones. Today just about every big box store is also located near this center of the Austin/Round Rock metropolitan area.
