Caprock is a neighborhood in Leander, Texas in the 5,000 acre master planned community of Crystal Falls in the Austin, Texas northwest corridor. No homes are on the ground yet in Cap Rock nor is it on the Crystal Falls website yet (as of 10.9.09). The developer, Bill Hinkley calls the home architectural design style “West Coast” but others may call it Tuscan or Spanish with tile roofs. Cap Rock
Cap Rock is a brand new neighborhood in Crystal Falls, Leander, Texas. Infrastructure is just going in now. The monument is up and a beautiful rock structure looks like it is going to be a waterfall. Cap Rock is located right off Crystal Falls Parkway beside the Fairways at Crystal Falls and across from Grand Mesa. Grand Haven Homes has been awarded the builder contract in Cap Rock. Developer Bill Hinckley envisions Cap Rock as more of a community for empty nesters who no longer want a large home with many bedrooms but still want a luxurious home in a great area. He describes the architecture as very California looking with tile roofs.
Cap Rock Area Amenities
Cap Rock residents enjoy all the great amenities of the Crystal Falls master planned community. These include great parks with swimming, disc golf, sand pit volleyball and more. There is the beautiful and challenging Crystal Falls Golf Course which has a lot of wildlife to see as an added perk. Leander, Texas enjoys being the railhead for the 32 mile track into Austin, Texas. This commuter rail service began in March 2010. There is also bus service as well in the Leander TOD or Transit Oriented Development.
Cap Rock Schools
Children in Cap Rock attend the area Leander ISD school system or one of the many private schools in the area. There are many nearby schools both public and private. Nearby colleges include the current ACC (Austin Community College) in neighboring Cedar Park as well as UT, St Edwards and others in Austin. ACC has bought land in the TOD in Leander, so soon there will be a college campus right in Leander. Round Rock Higher Education has a campus in nearby Round Rock and Georgetown offers Southwestern University.
