Home to the Hippos, Hutto, Tx is a growing town on the edge of Round Rock close to the new Toll Rds, 130 and Hwy 79 and minutes from Austin. Once a small one-light town, it has over 20,000 residents and continues to grow daily. Hutto had the foresight to enlarge their high school, add more middle and elementary schools because they knew they were on the brink of a population explosion. Lowes and Home Depot knew this as well and have established their retail operations, which was once was the edge of town. Many businesses have drifted out to this sleepy area. Homebuilders and developers saw it coming as well and bought many of the old farms and ranches to begin building neighborhoods. The housing market here, has loads of different communities, in which to live.
