Dripping Springs is a small town located about 25 miles southwest of downtown Austin off of Hwy.290. In this hill country town, you will find mostly ranch properties or homes that sit on larger lots. There are also a few planned neighborhood communities. The scenery in Dripping Springs is tranquil with rolling hills, plenty of live oak trees, and abundant wildlife.

If you enjoy hiking, swimming, picnicking, and enjoying nature, Hamilton Pool Preserve is located in Dripping Springs. This historic swimming hole has a 50 foot waterfall and the pool water level is fairly constant.
For the avid swimmer, you can go to the Founders Memorial Park pool (closed during winter). This park has a junior Olympic-sized pool in addition to jogging trails, soccer fields, playscape, and picnic area.
To celebrate the discovery of the Dripping Springs community, an annual Founders Day Festival is held each Spring. This is an event you will not want to miss!!

Many residents choose to live in Dripping Springs because of the School District. Dripping Springs has received ‘Excellent’ ratings from the Texas Education Agency. Others live in Dripping Springs because they like the ‘small-town’ feel while being in close proximity to Austin. This rural area allows peace and quiet with a tranquil setting.
