Highland Park West Balcones is a large and diverse area in Central Austin that encompasses a lot of smaller neighborhoods. A few of the prestigious neighborhoods that make up the area are Mount Bonnell Shores, Colorado Foothills, Highland Park West and Watersedge. Although all of the neighborhoods are part of the same association, the residents of the area will take pride in the name of their own community. You will not find a more unique group of neighborhoods in Austin.

Where is Highland Park West Balcones Located?
Highland Park West Balcones is located on a beautiful stretch of land that runs west from MoPac to the banks of Lake Austin. From north to south the community extends from RM 2222 to West 35th street. Although the community is 5 miles west of Austin, some would consider this the heart of Austin, because the main thoroughfares, 2222, W 35th and MoPac connect to all areas of the city. This central location allows residents to easily commute to all areas of Austin without a problem.

There is not a more impressive sight in Austin than looking down at the sparkling water of Lake Austin and the copper tones of the Pennybacker Bridge.
