Whispering Hollow is a very nice, new home development on the west side of Buda, between Southwest Austin and Kyle. Take FM-967 west from Buda, or FM-1626 south from Austin to get to Whispering Hollow. The entrance to Whispering Hollow is located just south of the intersection of these two roads (FM-1626 at Coldwater Hollow). Residents of Whispering Hollow enjoy the quiet of living away from Austin, but are still close enough to travel to Austin or other area locations for jobs, entertainment and shopping.

Homes in Whispering Hollow are among the best in the Buda area. The oldest homes in Whispering Hollow were built in 2005. Ryland Homes and Standard Pacific Homes are continuing to add new homes and a couple of new sections in early 2010. Sales prices for the homes sold in Whispering Hollow in 2009 ranged from $175k to $291k. Homes in Whispering Hollow range in size from just less than 1600 sq. ft. to over 3500 sq. ft.

Whispering Hollow Amenities and Nearby Attractions
The Whispering Hollow neighborhood has its own community center. Residents and their guests can enjoy a swimming pool, a picnic pavilion, and children’s playscape in a nicely landscaped area of the community. Buda, once a sleepy town on IH-35, continues to see its population grow. With this growth, venues for shopping, including Cabela’s outdoor center and a Super Wal-Mart, have been built in recent years. Other shopping can be found in South Austin and in new centers being developed on IH-35 in Kyle. Students living in Whispering Hollow attend schools of the Hays Consolidated ISD. The Plum Creek Golf Club is located a short drive to the south of Whispering Hollow.
