West of Buda you will discover numerous communities that have grown up the last few years.Cullen Country is located adjacent to Garlic Creek east of FM 1626 on FM 967 west of Buda. Tucked away in the trees, the community seems to sit alone on this stretch of road but in reality there are quite a few neighborhoods nearby. Cullen Country students are part of the Hays Consolidated ISD and all school related information and school boundaries can be verified through the appropriate Hays CISD offices.

Cullen Country Park, a city park begins at the entrance to the community of Cullen Country. This park offers 24 acres of trails with picnic areas scattered about the park. The park backs to Garlic Creek and provides many acres of shaded parkland for public use. Cullen Country may have a country setting but it is near the city of Buda which offers shopping, places to eat and other services located in the historical buildings along the main street. Buda also offers a wide range of services and retail centers along the IH-35 corridor both north to Austin and South to the growing city of Kyle.
