Lakeway, Texas

Located about 30 minutes west of downtown Austin, Lakeway is a laid back neighborhood that has many recreational opportunities. There are 4 golf courses to enjoy, as well as the World of Tennis complex. They also have a grand swim center and workout facilities. Lakeway Inn now has a spa for your relaxation and pampering. It also has its own Air Park for small aircraft. The main attraction of Lakeway, however, is the Lake. Lake Travis is a constant level lake that abounds with water activities. The crystal clear aquamarine water attracts sailboat and windsurfing regattas as well as competition ski boat, cruisers and house boats. There are several Marinas and public boat ramps and public and private parks in the area. Shopping in the area has just improved with the opening of the new 500,000 sqft Galleria Mall on highway 71 and ranch road 620. Many of the homes in the area have spectacular views of the hills and the lake. If you would rather have a golf course view, it is readily available. Whatever you enjoy doing, you can usually find a group to enjoy it with. Whether it is ballroom dancing, quilting, or playing bridge, the Lakeway neighborhood is the place to be.
