You can make a really good decision and buy in the Avery Ranch subdivision. Avery Ranch is the master piece of what a great subdivision should look like. Located just west of HWY 620 off Parmer lane, Avery Ranch is close to everything you could want. Shopping, hospitals, restaurants and the homes are beautiful!! Avery Ranch has an 18 hole golf course that ranks right up there with the best Austin has to offer. There are miles and miles of hike and bike trails that weave through out the subdivision and a beautiful community pool that will be tough to keep your kids away from. You owe it to yourself and your family to check out this subdivision.
Got a boat? Lake Travis is just a short drive from Avery Ranch and the this lake is one of the best in central Texas for water sports. There are boat rentals and numerous restaurants along the shore line where you can park your boat hop out and enjoy some of the best food and cool beverages around. Further west is lake LBJ which is a great lake to swim in or to water ski. The water in these two lakes is always calm and usually at a constant level.
If you get tired of the lake scene Hamilton Pool just south west of Austin off hwy 71 is a great place to take the family for a quiet picnic and swim. This is a natural spring fed pool with a 50 foot cliff surrounding part of the area. Its like swimming in a grotto. Then there is always the every popular Barton Springs pool just south of downtown Austin. Always a chilly 68 degrees Barton Springs has been in use by Austinites for long time as a great way to beat the summer heat. Even on the coldest days of the winter, you can usually find a brave soul or two swimming in these fridged waters.
