Leander Garden Club
Eureka! I found the Leander Garden Club! After living here 3 years and asking and wondering I FOUND IT!! It almost seemed a secret society! OK- here's the scoop- The Leander Garden Club meets the 4th Thursday of the month at the First Prebyterian Church From Hwy 183 North, turn Left on South Street in Leander (beside Exxon Station). Go 3 blocks to the corner of South and West. We are at 101 West Street, right on the corner. They are taking off a bit for the Summer Season so be sure and check with Cathy below regarding the current schedule.
To join the Leander Garden Club, you can contact Cathy Clark-Ramsey, Nursery Manager at Farmer's Nursery 1305 Leander Drive, Leander, TX 78641 (512) 259-4111 Just tell her "Sandy" sent you. She named me that last Summer because I came and bought so many loads of sand and decomposed granite for my pond, bog and stone patio last Summer. Farmers Nursery carries sand, gravel, dirt, Dillo Dirt, Compost Tea- to provide Microbes and Nutrients to your Lawn, etc. "hard to find" natives & xeriscape plants. Be sure to check into their Compost Program on their website (link below). I buy my Medina "Hasta GroPlant" organic plant food there. My plants cry for joy when it hits their little leaves and root systems!
Dues are only $10.00 a year. I plan to join and attend as much as possible. Hope to see you there! Betty Saenz Call me at (512) 785-5050
