Round Rock officials and city leaders are going through myriads of proposals for the development of a new Research Center projected for 2010. This project is aimed at companies who have already been pioneers in the medical/medicinal, technology, bio-sciences, nanotechnology and science fields. This center would serve a an "accelerator" to house companies with the advancement of product development, research, clean energy alternatives, Immunology, translational medicine and cures for cancer.

The Avery Family donated the land which is slighty east of the Seton Medical Center Williamson, Scott and White, Texas A & M Health Science Center, Austin Community Center, Texas State University Higher Education Center, the new Nurses college and St. David's.

I always like to surprise myself by going into neighborhoods that I haven't been in for a while to see how things evolved and grow.  Recently, I went to a party in Oak Bluff Estates and was blown away by how gorgeous this neighborhood is.  Majestic Native trees line the lazy winding streets highlighting the estate size lots and beautiful homes.  Breathtaking!!

Always in search of a great park, I set off in the car looking for a new place to picnic.  In Austin, Tx there are so many great parks that my search is never ending and that way I have many alternatives to select from. 

My criteria for parks are:  1) must have trees for the much needed shaded areas 2) picnic tables that are covered or under trees 3) Playscapes for the little ones 4) Barbeque pits for my favorite hotdogs 5) Hiking trails 6) Basketball courts for my son 7) Sports fields and fun.  Today, Northwest Balcones Park fit the bill.
