I love Austin!! I moved here in 1993 from Jackson, Mississippi. Austin has become home to me. There are many unique areas of this city and in the first few years, I explored a great many of them. Within a few months of living here, I had pretty much taught myself how to get around and I had explored many of the different neighborhoods. I lived in a few of them, before settling in Southwest Austin. My exploration in those years has helped me in my real estate career showing clients the different neighborhoods. Before getting my real estate license in 2002, I was working as a travel agent. In those years as a travel agent, I developed listening skills that I use each day as a Realtor. Before I can assist a client in either buying or selling, I have to find out what their personal goals are in the transaction. By listening to a client I can identify things that are important to them and assist them to make the correct decisions for themselves. Usually by the end of a transaction, I have made a new friend. Seeing a smile on a clients face after closing is the most rewarding thing for me. I LOVE selling real estate!!

Travis Heights is a wonderful neighborhood just south of downtown Austin. It is a favorite for those who prefer to live close to downtown and all it has to offer. The community is full of 1920's style bungalows. Some have had additions and remodels, and some look the same as the day they were first built except for paint and normal upkeep. There are 3 parks in the area, one of them a dog friendly, leash free park for residents to bring their dogs to run freely. Homes in this area start in the mid $300's and continue upwards of 1 Million. Travis Heights is truly a neighborhood that says "Austin" in all ways. Legend Oaks a Southwest Austin favorite
Saturday, March 28th, 2009 at 4:00pm. 257 Views, 0 Comments.
Why is Legend Oaks a southwest Austin favorite? There are several reasons for Legend Oaks being a favorite. The first reason, I think, are the homes themselves. Most of them are 3 sides masonry and sit on lots with beautiful oak trees. Reason number 2 would be the excellent schools in the area. Schools are a draw to certain subdivisions and that is certainly the case here. Location would be the third reason that I consider Legend Oaks as a favorite. The subdivision is situated between Hwy 71, Mopac, Davis Lane, Escarpment and William Cannon. Let me show you how nice it would be to call Legend Oaks home.

Travis Country one of my favorite southwest Austin communities

I really love the community of Travis Country. There are several reasons that I love this community. First, the homes in the older section are just beautiful. There are great big established trees on most of the lots. Second, the homes in the older section all have character. I also love the winding tree filled streets. Then after leaving the older section, you have the gated garden homes that are just beautiful. Here you also have the large oak trees on the lots. The newer sections all have great homes too. All in all, the beauty of the area and the close proximity to downtown Austin, makes this a really great place to call home.
