Barton Creek Square Mall

I went to the mall yesterday, my favorite one in Austin, Barton Creek Square Mall. Located in southwest Austin.  As I am walking around I realized how many new stores there are.  It’s like over the past 5 years that mall has taken a new direction.  I love the new look, not to mention I love all the cool stores.  It used to be that Austin did not have all the trendy stores that you would find in Dallas, San Antonio, or Houston.  But look out, we are finally catching up.  So what’s so cool about the mall? 

 

Nordstroms has to be one of the coolest department stores I have ever shopped at. We only have one in Austin. Of course I can’t spend $400.00 on a pair of shoes but I can buy the Nordstroms brand for $60.00 or so.  They have an awesome shoe department.  Just the atmosphere as a whole is great.  My daughter loves to go to the kids shoe department and look at the big aquarium that sits in the middle of all the shoes, so she never minds trying on a new pair.  They have all the cool trendy brands of jeans and tops for men and women.  So you can even take your teenager to shop there and it’s still cool enough. 

 

I like all the stores at Barton Creek, there are stores for every budget and every age.  The main department stores nice to find your basic stuff and all the little stores have all your specialty items.  There are a few new spots that I luv to shop at for my family and my kids like as well.

 

Overall, I like Barton Creek Square Mall.  It’s located right in my neighborhood.   Share your comments on malls with me, I love to hear about new cool stores.

I am with you on Barton Creek Mall. I like shopping there because it is not as crowded as Highland or Lakeline, plus the store selection is really good. Nordstroms is a very classy department store, with the full-time pianist playing and their white high-polished floors. Everything is neat, and there is always someone available to help you pick just the right perfume or find you every pair of "possible" jean options in the store. Their cafe is also a great place to sit and have a cup of soup, salad, pasta dish, or my favorite, dessert!
