Anderson Mill Subdivision
Posted by Don Drew on Sunday, October 5th, 2008 at 6:46pm.When I moved to Austin in the fall of 1969 there was very little development north of Anderson Lane. Today there is not much that hasn't been built in North or Northwest Austin and consequently there is very little land left that can be developed. The fact that this area has been so extensively developed with subdivisions like Anderson Mill is what makes it a very appealing area to own a home.
Homes that sold in the 1980's for $ 50,000 now sell for $ 150,000 to $ 200,000 because the area offers what appeals to most prospective buyers...it's close to almost anything you can want or need. Major hospitals are within a 15 minute drive from almost anywhere along the highway 183 corridor between Mopac and Highway 620. A major enclosed mall is 20 minutes from Mopac, major business line Highway 183 as well as restaurants offering just about any type of ethnic food you could desire.
Anderson Mill is perched in the heart of this area, so if you are looking for a subdivision that is a great investment as well as a great place to raise your family you need to look at this area.
