Taylor Estates

I recently visited a new home community in South Austin called Taylor Estates. It’s a small Kimball Hill Homes community right off Dittmar Road - down the road from Dittmar Recreation Center. The community itself, I’d consider small but the homes and all they have to offer are not small at all. I was impressed by Taylor Estates, not only does it have wonderful floor plans and great standard features, it’s in an awesome location. I really love the idea that you can buy a new home, of this quality, without having to leave all the comforts and conveniences of South Austin.

Forest Creek Activities

There is alot going on in Forest Creek in the next few months.  The Annual Family Fall Festival will be held on October 25th at the park.  It will be a pre-Halloween affair with costumes, rides, petting zoo, pumpkin decoration and I am sure food and games.  Parents and or volunteers are encouraged to bake for the cake walk.

For more adult activities, the Forest Creek Wine Club has a monthly wine tasting which is both fun and informative. This casual evening requires that you bring a bottle of wine for all to sample.  The next one will be held Sept. 19th from 8 to 10 at the Sky Ridge Plaza.  This location just happens to be Round Rock's new winery named Water2Wine.  That will be a great evening for all.   


Angus Valley Subdivision

The Angus Valley subdivision is located in a beautiful part of Northwest Austin and it is very much old Austin!   Although there has been some new homes built in this area in the last couple of years,  the majority of the homes were built in the 1960's and 1970's and are situated on large lots of 1/3 acre or larger.  The streets have few if any curbs or gutters and although the city provides services some of the homes still have septic systems.  As you drive through this area you see that no two homes are alike and there is a definite feeling that you are seeing Austin as it was 40 to 50 years.

Balcones Woods Subdivision
