The Lakewood Subdivision is a real jewel in Austin. It is nestled in the Bull Creek Valley just below Jester Estates. The neighborhood association offers a great activity center, including tennis, playgrounds and a swimming pool for children and adults. Just a few minutes north of the 360 Bridge Lakewood is convenient to Lake Austin, a great boating lake and a few minutes south of the Arboretum and Gateway Shopping centers.
Lakewood is a unique area in far North Austin that is divided by Loop 360. You can get to the original part of Lakewood by going East on Lakewood Dr. off 2222 just South of 360. The other section is accessible by going North on Lakewood Dr. off of 360. The original area started back in the early 1960’ on the S. side of 360. The subdivision of Lakewood is located just west of highway 360 and just north of Ranch Road 2222 and south of highway 183. You can easily get to all parts of town from here. It is a tight knit community with smaller homes for retirees and young marrieds, to larger homes for families.
