Buttercup Creek Subdivision
On the very southern tip of Cedar Park is a well known and established subdivision, Buttercup Creek. Buttercup Creek is located just east of US183 in Cedar Park. It is in the Leander School District and is close to Lake Travis and Lakeline Mall. Buttercup Creek has easy access to toll roads and other routes that will get you anywhere in the Austin, Round Rock and Georgetown areas within minutes. The West Side Preserve feathures gorgeous homes built by David Weekley, Newmark and Meritage. In the 1990's it was a sleepy little subdivision, but with the recent growth of the city it has really started to boom. Builder's began to plan the master community Westside Preserve at Buttercup Creek and vastly expanded the subdivision.

In Buttercup Creek the city has set aside the Buttercup Creek Cave Preserve. This preserve has a wide variety of caves all over the west side of Cedar Park. Just recently the preserve has added more that 40 educational signs located along the trail of the cave preserve.
