Lake Austin has a lot of history for the last 100 years. It is one of several lakes developed on the Colorado River. The first dam was built on the lake in 1893 and was called Austin Dam. It was built out of huge granite blocks. A flood soon wiped it out that devastated Austin. After the first thirty-six Sabine Condos sold, the HOA sued the developer for some of the unfinished work. The HOA and the developer have now settled the lawsuit. The developer will resolve some of the remaining issues and 27 of the remaining 44 condos will be put up to auction. The date is set for February 28. Kennedy Wilson will be the auctioneer.
