Allandale is one of many subdivisions in the Austin Texas metropolitan area. It is bounded by Anderson Lane on the north, by Shoal Creek at 45th Street (from MoPac to the Shoal Creek waterway, and following the waterway to Hancock Drive) to the south, with Burnet Road as its eastern boundary and MoPac as the western boundary. Allandale is served by the Austin Independent School District and Allandale Neighborhood Association.

Saturday is the Tree Planting from 9-1 and Sunday is the Celebrate Allandale Picnic with entertainment, arts and crafts, food vendors and exhibitors from 2-6 and families are encouraged to attend. Allandale used to be considered as being in Northwest Austin. Now, since the city has grown so much, it is in Central Austin. Gullett Elementary School is on Treadwell Blvd and is an excellent school. Lamar Middle School and McCallum High School are the other neighborhood schools. McCallum is an arts magnet school.
